The young Munich-based company has now successfully comple\u00adted its seed finan\u00adcing round with the support of the <strong>BayStartUP inves\u00adtor network<\/strong>, recei\u00adving a high six-figure sum. In <strong>addi\u00adtion to Bayern Kapi\u00adtal, six busi\u00adness angels parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adted in the round<\/strong>. With the capi\u00adtal, eKidz.eu wants to finance the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of new features of the app, expand the offer to other opera\u00adting systems and inte\u00adgrate addi\u00adtio\u00adnal content.<\/p>\n<p>The start-up was foun\u00added in Janu\u00adary 2017 by a team of three led by <strong>Nata\u00adliya Tetruyeva (photo)<\/strong>. eKidz.eu plans to use the funds from the seed round to drive the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of the program and finance the roll\u00adout in various Euro\u00adpean count\u00adries. An English language version is also to be included in the&nbsp;app.<\/p>\n<p>eKidz.eu has deve\u00adlo\u00adped the first e\u2011learning program in Germany for so-called immersive language lear\u00adning speci\u00adfi\u00adcally for child\u00adren aged 5\u201310, where they are immer\u00adsed in the virtual world in a natu\u00adral way when using the program. The app is also suita\u00adble for child\u00adren lear\u00adning German as a second language. The goal is to improve child\u00adren\u2019s language and reading skills in a natu\u00adral way. Speci\u00adfi\u00adcally, digi\u00adtal child\u00adren\u2019s books can be acces\u00adsed via app on mobile devices such as tablets. The appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately 50 child\u00adren\u2019s books curr\u00adently available are syste\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally divi\u00added into nine reading levels. Child\u00adren can have the texts read aloud at the appro\u00adpriate level, read for them\u00adsel\u00adves, and answer compre\u00adhen\u00adsion ques\u00adti\u00adons. After\u00adwards, teachers or parents can view the results of the exer\u00adci\u00adses. The app is available on iPad; Windows and Android versi\u00adons are under deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment. In the future, the app will be supple\u00admen\u00adted with audio recor\u00addings and other func\u00adtions. eKidz.eu\u2019s target groups are schools and families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Georg Ried, Mana\u00adging Direc\u00adtor at Bayern Kapi\u00adtal,<\/strong>  says: \u201cSo far, there has been no e\u2011learning appli\u00adca\u00adtion for child\u00adren\u2019s language lear\u00adning in Germany.
