Munich \u2014 Funds advi\u00adsed by Equis\u00adtone Part\u00adners Europe<\/strong> (\u201cEquis\u00adtone\u201d) are dive\u00ads\u00adt\u00ading their majo\u00adrity stake in Case\u00adking<\/strong>, a leading Euro\u00adpean provi\u00adder of PC gaming, e\u2011sports and tech products. Equis\u00adtone had acqui\u00adred Case\u00adking in March 2014 and has consis\u00adt\u00adently supported the company\u2019s growth stra\u00adtegy since then. Buyers are funds advi\u00adsed by Gilde Buy Out Part\u00adners<\/strong>, the foun\u00adders and manage\u00adment of Case\u00adking remain invol\u00adved. The parties have agreed not to disc\u00adlose the purchase price or further details of the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion. The sale is subject to appr\u00adoval by the rele\u00advant anti\u00adtrust authorities.<\/div>\n

Case\u00adking was foun\u00added in 2003 as an online store for gaming and PC access\u00adories in Berlin by Kay Kosta\u00addi\u00adnov and Toni Sonn and has since deve\u00adlo\u00adped into one of Euro\u00adpe\u2019s most successful suppli\u00aders of high-perfor\u00admance compu\u00adter systems, PC compon\u00adents and access\u00adories for the gaming sector. Today, the group of compa\u00adnies employs around 400 people. Case\u00adking is repre\u00adsen\u00adted by its own busi\u00adness units in Germany, the UK, the Scan\u00addi\u00adna\u00advian count\u00adries, Southern and Eastern Europe, and Taiwan. Through a logi\u00adstics network of six warehou\u00adses, Case\u00adking proces\u00adses over 540,000 orders annu\u00adally and ships appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately four million goods world\u00adwide. The product port\u00adfo\u00adlio covers trade with exclu\u00adsive own and licen\u00adsed brands as well as third-party brands.<\/p>\n

During Equis\u00adto\u00adne\u2019s invol\u00advement, Case\u00adkin\u00adg\u2019s reve\u00adnue<\/strong> increased from \u20ac96 million in fiscal 2013\/14 to \u20ac239 million<\/strong> (2017\/2018). This growth was driven prima\u00adrily by targe\u00adted acqui\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons; howe\u00adver, adjus\u00adted orga\u00adnic sales growth was also well into double digits each year. Even before Equis\u00adto\u00adne\u2019s invol\u00advement, Case\u00adking had acqui\u00adred the British company Over\u00adclo\u00adckers, a leading supplier of hard\u00adware compon\u00adents. The Group streng\u00adthe\u00adned its presence in other key Euro\u00adpean regi\u00adons with the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion of Hungary-based Kelly-tech in July 2014 and Portu\u00adgal-based Global\u00addata in Febru\u00adary 2017. Trigono, a provi\u00adder of gaming products and soft\u00adware licen\u00adsing and main\u00adten\u00adance services active in Sweden and Norway, joined the Group in Novem\u00adber 2017. Most recently, Jimm\u2019s PC Store, a Finnish retailer of compu\u00adters and gaming access\u00adories, was added in early 2018.<\/p>\n
