More than 200 invi\u00adted guests gathe\u00adred in the Digi\u00adtal Church to kick off future invest\u00adments in tech\u00adno\u00adlogy-orien\u00adted start\u00adups in the Aachen region toge\u00adther with the two S\u2011UBG board members Harald Heide\u00admann and Bern\u00adhard Kugel as well as NRW Minis\u00adter of Econo\u00admic Affairs Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart.<\/p>\n

With its first two seed funds (laun\u00adched in 2007 and 2012), S\u2011UBG has alre\u00adady helped more than 20 start-ups get off the ground with capi\u00adtal, stra\u00adte\u00adgic know\u00adledge and its exten\u00adsive network, thanks to the finan\u00adcial resour\u00adces of inves\u00adtors Spar\u00adkasse Aachen, NRW.BANK, DSA Invest, Kreis\u00adspar\u00adkasse Heins\u00adberg and private inves\u00adtors. As of now, around 20 million euros are available in the new fund for Aachen\u2019s start-up scene. The fund can invest up to three million euros per company and over seve\u00adral finan\u00adcing rounds.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAachen has great inno\u00adva\u00adtion poten\u00adtial in which we want to conti\u00adnue to invest,\u201d says Bern\u00adhard Kugel, CEO of the S\u2011UBG Group and mana\u00adging direc\u00adtor of the manage\u00adment company of Seed Fonds Aachen. \u201cWith talent hotbeds like RWTH Aachen Univer\u00adsity, FH Aachen Univer\u00adsity of Applied Scien\u00adces and nume\u00adrous rese\u00adarch insti\u00adtu\u00adtes, we draw from a never-ending stream of ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n

30 years of sustainable commit\u00adment and entre\u00adpre\u00adneu\u00adrial partnership<\/strong>

About Seed Fonds III Aachen<\/strong>
\nThe \u201cSeed Fonds III f\u00fcr die Region Aachen GmbH & Co. KG\u201d is one of eleven regio\u00adnal start-up funds that NRW.BANK is imple\u00admen\u00adting with regio\u00adnal invest\u00adment part\u00adners in North Rhine-West\u00adpha\u00adlia. Seed Fonds III Aachen provi\u00addes young compa\u00adnies in the start-up phase with the neces\u00adsary equity capi\u00adtal on a long-term basis. The fund can invest a maxi\u00admum of three million euros per company, and signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly more with co-inves\u00adtors. The Seed Fonds II Aachen has been disbur\u00adsed after about five years and a second follow-up fund \u2014 the Seed Fonds III Aachen \u2014 has been estab\u00adlished from NRW.BANK\u2019s seed fund initiative.<\/p>\n

In order for foun\u00adders of tech\u00adno\u00adlogy-orien\u00adted compa\u00adnies to bene\u00adfit from Chance Capi\u00adtal, the company\u2019s regis\u00adtered office must be loca\u00adted in the Aachen econo\u00admic region, the company must be less than 18 months old, and the legal form must be a corpo\u00adra\u00adtion.
