The agree\u00adment provi\u00addes for a purchase price of around one billion euros for 94.9 percent of the shares held in HSH Nord\u00adbank. The other buyers include <strong>finan\u00adcial inves\u00adtors<\/strong> <strong>J.C. Flowers, Golden\u00adTree Asset Manage\u00adment <\/strong>and<strong> Centau\u00adrus Capi\u00adtal<\/strong>, as well as Austria\u2019s<strong> BAWAG P.S.K. Bank f\u00fcr Arbeit und Wirt\u00adschaft and<\/strong><strong> \u00d6ster\u00adrei\u00adchi\u00adsche Post\u00adspar\u00adkasse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In connec\u00adtion with the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion, problem loans with a nomi\u00adnal value of seve\u00adral billion euros will be sold from the bank. This will enable HSH Nord\u00adbank to compete without state aid in the future. The acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion of HSH Nord\u00adbank by inde\u00adpen\u00addent inves\u00adtors marks the first time that a German Landes\u00adbank has been successfully privatized.<\/p>\n<p>The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion will be comple\u00adted once the neces\u00adsary regu\u00adla\u00adtory appr\u00adovals have been obtai\u00adned.
