The increase is due in parti\u00adcu\u00adlar to very <strong>strong demand for start-up and growth promo\u00adtion<\/strong>. This was opti\u00admi\u00adzed last year and recor\u00added an increase of around 14 percent. In addi\u00adtion, the Energy Loan for Buil\u00addings, which was only intro\u00addu\u00adced in mid-July 2017, was in demand with a commit\u00adment volume of over EUR 100 million. In total, more than 4,500 compa\u00adnies and muni\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adli\u00adties bene\u00adfi\u00adted from the funding offers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe economy in the Free State is in a good posi\u00adtion. And to keep it that way, forward-looking invest\u00adments in our growth are neces\u00adsary. This is where the LfA comes in, support\u00ading SMEs in their chal\u00adlenges with a compre\u00adhen\u00adsive, flexi\u00adble and attrac\u00adtive range of funding. This could be for digi\u00adtiza\u00adtion or a busi\u00adness succes\u00adsion, for exam\u00adple. The funding figu\u00adres for 2017 show that the offer has been excel\u00adlently recei\u00adved and is very well tail\u00ado\u00adred to the needs of small and medium-sized enter\u00adpri\u00adses,\u201d said Bava\u00adria\u2019s Minis\u00adter of Econo\u00admic Affairs and LfA Board Chair Ilse Aigner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Otto Beierl, Chair\u00adman of the Board of LfA<\/strong>adds: \u201cThe 2017 funding year was very successful for us. We were once again able to expand our funding perfor\u00admance for Bava\u00adrian SMEs. In the impro\u00adved start-up and growth promo\u00adtion alone, we commit\u00adted loans tota\u00adling more than 800 million euros. The high demand for the Energy Loan for Buil\u00addings since its launch last summer also speaks for itself. These invest\u00adments in the energy effi\u00adci\u00adency of corpo\u00adrate buil\u00addings bene\u00adfit our envi\u00adron\u00adment and busi\u00adnesses. Because they save money in the long term thanks to lower energy consump\u00adtion and our repay\u00adment subs\u00adidy of up to 18.5 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LfA has been the state-owned specia\u00adlist bank for the promo\u00adtion of SMEs in Bava\u00adria since 1951. As a rule, the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment loans are applied for at the compa\u00adnies\u2019 prin\u00adci\u00adpal banks and are gran\u00adted through them.
