Berlin - The busi\u00adness climate in the German private equity market impro\u00adved again in the third quar\u00adter of 2017. The busi\u00adness climate index of the German Private Equity Baro\u00adme\u00adter rose by 4.9 points to 70.2 balance points, signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly excee\u00adding its record value from the second quar\u00adter of 2017. The indi\u00adca\u00adtor for the current busi\u00adness situa\u00adtion rose by 1.9 points to 70.5 balance points, while the indi\u00adca\u00adtor for busi\u00adness expec\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons increased by 8 points to 69.8 balance points.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment reflects a new record high in the early-stage segment of the private equity market. Here, the busi\u00adness climate indi\u00adca\u00adtor rose by 12.8 points to 69.1 balance points. Both the current busi\u00adness situa\u00adtion (+9.1 to 66.7 balance points) and the busi\u00adness expec\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons (+16.5 to 71.5 balance points) are picking up significantly.<\/p>\n

The VC busi\u00adness climate is being driven by rising valua\u00adtions of exit and funding oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties, which are reaching new highs.<\/strong> In addi\u00adtion, the fund\u00adrai\u00adsing and inno\u00adva\u00adtion climate remains very good. Assess\u00adments of the level and quality of deal flow as well as entry prices have also stabi\u00adli\u00adzed at their respec\u00adtive levels after slip\u00adping in the previous quarter.<\/p>\n

The busi\u00adness climate in the late-stage segment remains excep\u00adtio\u00adnally good. At 71.1 balance points (-0.4), the busi\u00adness climate indi\u00adca\u00adtor here in the third quar\u00adter of 2017 remains only slightly below its best value of the previous quar\u00adter. Inves\u00adtors\u2019 assess\u00adment of their current busi\u00adness situa\u00adtion is slightly worse than in the second quar\u00adter, but they are some\u00adwhat more opti\u00admi\u00adstic about their busi\u00adness expec\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons. The indi\u00adca\u00adtor for the current busi\u00adness situa\u00adtion decreased by 2.6 points to 73.7 balance points, while the indi\u00adca\u00adtor for busi\u00adness expec\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons increased by 1.8 points to 68.5 balance points.<\/p>\n

The still very good busi\u00adness climate in the late-stage segment is supported by almost the entire market envi\u00adron\u00adment: fund\u00adrai\u00adsing climate, assess\u00adment of the level and quality of deal flow and exit climate show top values.
