HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons is a spin-off of the Karls\u00adruhe Insti\u00adtute of Tech\u00adno\u00adlogy (KIT) and, as part of the Q\u2011Exa consor\u00adtium, provi\u00addes the soft\u00adware for the first quan\u00adtum compu\u00adter manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adred in Germany.<\/p>\n

With the new capi\u00adtal, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons intends to streng\u00adthen its cloud plat\u00adform HQS Quan\u00adtum Assis\u00adted Design as well as expand its open source library Active Space Finder.<\/p>\n

HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons, Euro\u00adpe\u2019s leading startup for complex quan\u00adtum simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons, closes a Series A funding round. Toge\u00adther with new rese\u00adarch funding, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons is thus raising over 12 million euros. French quan\u00adtum VC fund Quan\u00adto\u00adna\u00adtion leads the finan\u00adcing round as a new inves\u00adtor. The alre\u00adady parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adting VC funds UVC Part\u00adners, btov Indus\u00adtrial Tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies and HTGF reaf\u00adfirm their commit\u00adment through rene\u00adwed investments.<\/p>\n

The market for quan\u00adtum tech\u00adno\u00adlogy has been growing rapidly for seve\u00adral years and reached a new record high last year. In Germany, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons is driving the key tech\u00adno\u00adlogy forward as part of the Q\u2011Exa consor\u00adtium, among others. The inter\u00addi\u00adsci\u00adpli\u00adnary project aims to install the first German-made quan\u00adtum compu\u00adter at the Leib\u00adnitz Compu\u00adting Center before the end of this year. Like most large-scale compu\u00adting centers, the High Perfor\u00admance Compu\u00adting Center of the Bava\u00adrian Academy of Scien\u00adces uses signi\u00adfi\u00adcant porti\u00adons of its compu\u00adting power to solve quan\u00adtum mecha\u00adni\u00adcal problems. HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons provi\u00addes the neces\u00adsary software.<\/p>\n

With the capi\u00adtal from the new finan\u00adcing round, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons intends to further streng\u00adthen its posi\u00adtion as a leading Euro\u00adpean soft\u00adware provi\u00adder in the field of quan\u00adtum simu\u00adla\u00adtion. Foun\u00added by four quan\u00adtum physi\u00adcists, the startup has been deve\u00adlo\u00adping effi\u00adci\u00adent quan\u00adtum algo\u00adrithms for mate\u00adri\u00adals, chemi\u00adcal and phar\u00admaceu\u00adti\u00adcal rese\u00adarch since 2017. The new round of funding will enable HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons to further deve\u00adlop its Quan\u00adtum Assis\u00adted Design cloud plat\u00adform and expand its open-source Active Space Finder library.<\/p>\n

For its Quan\u00adtum Assis\u00adted Design cloud plat\u00adform, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons is deve\u00adlo\u00adping unique soft\u00adware opti\u00admi\u00adzed for use on current quan\u00adtum compu\u00adters. In the near future, it will enable rese\u00adarch groups and compa\u00adnies without access to their own quan\u00adtum hard\u00adware to perform the same quan\u00adtum simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons that HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons enables with its soft\u00adware at the Leib\u00adniz Compu\u00adting Center. With the open source library Active Space Finder, HQS Quan\u00adtum Simu\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons is the only company in the world working on a solu\u00adtion to the so-called Active Space Problem. Only the solu\u00adtion of this problem enables prac\u00adti\u00adcal use of quan\u00adtum compu\u00adters for mate\u00adrial simulation.<\/p>\n
