DBAG Fund VIII, which is advi\u00adsed by DBAG, acqui\u00adred a majo\u00adrity stake in Dantherm in Novem\u00adber 2021 as part of a manage\u00adment buyout and inves\u00adted 99 million euros, of which DBAG accoun\u00adted for a good 22 million euros. The oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity to achieve a leading posi\u00adtion in Europe through inor\u00adga\u00adnic growth is a central compo\u00adnent of the value enhance\u00adment stra\u00adtegy. The current tran\u00adsac\u00adtion will result in a broa\u00adde\u00adning of geogra\u00adphic market coverage and product offe\u00adring, as well as the addi\u00adtion of an incre\u00adasingly important sales chan\u00adnel. Both compa\u00adnies combine sales of around 360 million euros and employ a total of 950 people.<\/p>\n
Trotec (www.trotec.de) deve\u00adlops, produ\u00adces and sells trans\u00adpor\u00adta\u00adble and statio\u00adnary devices for air dehu\u00admi\u00addi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion, cooling, heating and venti\u00adla\u00adtion as well as air filters, which are used in indus\u00adtry, commerce and by private custo\u00admers. In 2021, the company gene\u00adra\u00adted sales of around 170 million euros with such and other products. Like Dantherm (www.danthermgroup.com), it also bene\u00adfi\u00adted from the pande\u00admic, which among other things led to higher demand for air filters. Trotec was foun\u00added in 1994 and now employs 350 people at loca\u00adti\u00adons in ten count\u00adries, most of them at its head\u00adquar\u00adters in Heins\u00adberg (North Rhine-Westphalia).<\/p>\n
While Dantherm mainly supplies busi\u00adness custo\u00admers, just under a third of Trotec\u2019s sales are gene\u00adra\u00adted with private custo\u00admers. With an online portal that is successful in seve\u00adral languages, it is expan\u00adding sales oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties, because Danther\u00adm\u2019s busi\u00adness has so far been conduc\u00adted mainly through whole\u00adsa\u00adlers and other statio\u00adnary forms of distribution.<\/p>\n
The market for mobile and statio\u00adnary air-condi\u00adtio\u00adning equip\u00adment is growing at an annual rate of between four and six percent, which is faster than the natio\u00adnal product as a whole.
